Christian Toto is an entertainment reporter and film critic for The Washington Times. His first film review came as an elementary school student writing for Long Island's Newsday. The publication didn't spell his name correctly, but his love of movies went on unabated.
Christian studied illustration in college, but on a whim he joined the university's student newspaper in order to review films. That lark eventually overpowered his artistic ambitions and led him into a career in journalism. He served as a back-up film critic for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review then made his way to Virginia where he hooked up with The Washington Times. He's been reviewing films for the newspaper for the past six years.
He can currently be heard talking movies each week on WTOP-FM in D.C. as well as Tampa's News Talk 1040 AM and The Wolf in Erie, Pa. He also contributes commentary to the nationally syndicated "Dennis Miller Show." His reviews appear online at www.washingtontimes.com and his personal Web site, www.whatwouldtotowatch.com.
