Christian Hamaker
Christian Hamaker holds degrees in Communications, with an emphasis in Film and Popular Culture (B.A., Virginia Tech), and Religion (M.A., Reformed Theological Seminary). He combines those interests in his movie reviews for Crosswalk.com, a subsidiary of Salem Communications. His Crosswalk blog, which he started more than a year ago, has all of 10 posts—a sign, perhaps, that Christian is not cut out for the blogging life. He does, however, post far too frequently at ArtsandFaith.com—a discussion board that's home to several films-and-faith writers.
Christian has a collection of more than 100 laserdiscs, showing his Luddite-like tendencies when it comes to technology. He visits his local video store only once or twice a year, opting instead for weekly runs to Arlington County's Central Library, which supplies him with a steady stream of DVDs at no cost (unless he forgets to return them).
He is happily married to Sarah Hamaker, author of "Hired@Home," from DPL Press.
